Kedai Kopi Lai Foong, located just opposite the Sin Shi Yeh temple, is well known for its authentic lala noodle. This place has been around for many years, and the lala noodle is definitely the most recommended dish — fresh, flavourful, and comforting. The environment can be slightly noisy and a bit hot, but that’s expected for a classic kopitiam setting. Overall, it’s a good experience with delicious food that keeps people coming back. Worth trying if you’re in the area!

In the heart of KL, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there lies a coffee shop that has served the city folks for years. This coffee shop is none other than Lai Foong. When you come to Lai Foong, you come to taste especially three different Yummylicious shockalingam slurpylicious delicacies. The three are fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork). If your stomach can whack all three: fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork), you would have savoured the essential essence of Lai Foong coffee shop. Each delicacy on its own is already mouth watering, so imagine attempting the treble.

Initially, I wanted to visit the Michelin-rated Sin Kee Beef Noodles, but it happened to be closed on the day my friend and I went. So we crossed the street and decided to try the legendary beef noodle stall inside Lai Foong Restaurant instead. It’s not a full restaurant, just a humble little stall, but they’ve been serving noodles for decades and are well-loved by locals. Their beef noodle style is completely different from Sin Kee’s. Not all beef noodles are the same, and this one has its own charm. The soup is flavourful, the noodles are fresh, and the meat is tender. To my surprise, they even offer special cuts like testicles and penis. I tried them too, unique texture, distinct taste, and honestly quite delicious. Overall, it’s a solid bowl of beef noodles. If you’re ever in Kuala Lumpur near Chinatown, drop by and give them a try. Sometimes the unexpected options turn out to be the most memorable.

Tried this Portuguese tart as the auntie keep promoting it. And boom! Taste so good and the crust actually kinda similar like the famous Bun Choon egg tart! RM3.20 for one pcs, quite pricey but it's KL city center.
